The Grounds

The wider grounds are full of picturesque vistas, and secluded corners. The list of leisure opportunities, literally on your doorstep, is as long as your imagination. Residents can enjoy walking, cycling, jogging, dog walking, painting or just sitting and reading amongst the breathtaking, peaceful scenery.
The River Loddon sweeps along the North edge of the estate while the Blackwater River branches off to run down through the grounds to the village. Across the Blackwater lies a beautiful five-arch brick bridge that dates back to 1722. Residents also have access to the tree lined lake – a beautiful spot to relax with a good book.
To one side of the house is the walled garden. Its hidden delights include a small vegetable patch, various pieces of statuary, magnolia and cherry trees, a foliage tunnel and a glazed gazebo. Snuggled within the grounds are areas such as the gravel-lined courtyard with its own fountain, formal terraces and lawns plus more secluded areas to sit and enjoy some quiet contemplation.

Swallowfield Park has several breathtaking shared spaces that are available to all residents and their guests. The wooden shelved book lined library houses comfy chairs and a stunning marble focal point fireplace.
The beautifully decorated dinning room offers many event opportunities, free to book, residents have hosted weddings, charity events and birthday parties. The attached high spec kitchen makes entertaining on a grand scale a breeze.
For smaller intimate gatherings the stunning oval vestibule is nothing short of spectacular. If you just feel like a break from your apartment you can pull up a chair in the restful surroundings of the Great Hall.

Guest Apartments

Swallowfield Park offers two guest suites available for hire by residents. Both suites include a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom. They share lift access, an upstairs lobby and a utility room, making them incredibly convenient for visiting family and friends.
Everything that Swallowfield Park has to offer is available for you to share with your family or friends. Everyone can relax and have fun in real country house comfort and style. At Swallowfield Park, downsizing doesn’t really apply.

Swallowfield Park employs an Estate Team to ensure the high standards you expect are maintained year round. The estate offers a 24-hour on call concierge service, helping you to access information and help when you need it. A caretaker is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the house and grounds. There is also a housekeeping team who keep all communal areas spick and span and ready to enjoy at all times.
